Kids Alive Club
The Club continues to both challenge and encourage all of us who are involved. We were thrilled to see the young people taking part in the Learner's Band during the recent ISB weekend and pleased to see those who came along to the service on Mothers' Day. We have had some new children coming along to club who speak little or no English. This has proved to be something of a challenge to the YP workers.
Please pray for us as we try to communicate the gospel message and show the love of Jesus to the young people. In our classes this term we have been learning about Nehemiah the Governor, Queen Esther and in recent weeks as we approach Easter the New Testament stories of how Jesus brings new life. The YP workers are looking forward to their well-earned break over the Easter holidays!
We have really missed some of our friends at club since Christmas. Rodney and Peggy are still far from well, Rita is recovering from major surgery and her friend Mary hasn't been able to attend. We heard just last week that Mrs McIlveen is back in hospital after another fall. We continue to pray for all of our friends that God would indeed be close to them at this time.
We all enjoy coming to club on a Tuesday to enjoy good food, fellowship and to worship together. Our thanks go to all who help in any way to make Tuesday Club an enjoyable experience for all who attend.
Parent and Toddlers Club
Friday mornings prove to be highlight of the week for those of us who meet at Toddler Group. We enjoy fun, games, crafts and of course snack time! We recently decorated photo frames and made lovely handprint flowers for Mothers' Day. We continue to be encouraged by the friendships made on a Friday morning and how everyone who comes along gets involved - the children even washed the dishes last Friday! We congratulate Tanja on the birth of baby Tia, who came along last week to meet us all aged only 5 days!!
