Belfast Citadel celebrates Queens Diamond Jubilee

03 Jun 2012

The Queens Diamond Jubilee proved to be the ideal opportunity for Belfast Citadels first Café Church.  The street party theme attracted 8 visitors who had not previously attended Sunday worship at the corps.  CSM Noel Moore had also taken the Jubilee theme for the morning meeting with the band contributing the Hornpipe from Handels Water Music to slides of past Thames Pageants.  Following the songsters Song of Consecration many responded to the challenge to echo the Declaration of Service made by Princess Elizabeth in her 21st birthday speech to The Commonwealth.  The meeting concluded with The Old 100th, as arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams for the Queens Coronation.
